Models Download Stuck

Fix stuck model and repair downloads in RepairPlugin caused by security plugins or firewall rules blocking the connection.

What can you do with this?

  • Fix model and repair downloads that get stuck at a certain percentage or never start
  • Whitelist RepairPlugin's servers in your security plugin so downloads work
  • Keep your security plugin active while allowing RepairPlugin to function
  • Troubleshoot server timeout issues for large downloads

Example: You just installed RepairPlugin and go to RepairPlugin > Download to import phone models and repairs. You click "Download Libraries", the progress bar starts moving — then it freezes at 30% and stays there. No error message, but nothing gets imported.

Where to find it

  1. The download page: go to RepairPlugin > Download
  2. Your security plugin's settings (Wordfence, Sucuri, iThemes Security, etc.)

How to fix it

Why it happens

Security plugins like Wordfence, Sucuri, or iThemes Security can block the connection RepairPlugin needs to download models and repairs from its servers. Their firewall rules may prevent requests to repairplugin.com.

Whitelist RepairPlugin's servers

  1. Open your security plugin's settings
  2. Go to the firewall or whitelist section
  3. Add *.repairplugin.com to the whitelist (this allows connections to repairplugin.com and its subdomains)
  4. Save the settings
  5. Try the download again at RepairPlugin > Download

Instructions for specific plugins

  • Wordfence: Go to Wordfence > Firewall > Manage Firewall, add repairplugin.com to the whitelist
  • Sucuri: Go to Sucuri Security > Firewall (WAF) > Whitelist, add the domain
  • iThemes Security: Go to Security > Settings, find the firewall section and add an exception

If whitelisting doesn't work

  • Your server's maximum script run time may be too low for large downloads. Ask your hosting provider to increase it to at least 300 seconds.
  • Try downloading fewer categories at a time instead of everything at once.
  • Temporarily turn off the security plugin to confirm it's the cause, then turn it back on and configure the whitelist.

Frequently asked questions

My downloads are stuck — can I just turn off my security plugin?

You can temporarily turn it off to confirm that it's the cause, but don't leave it off. Instead, add *.repairplugin.com to your security plugin's whitelist so downloads work while your site stays protected.

I don't have a security plugin but downloads still get stuck

Your hosting provider's server-side firewall might be blocking outgoing connections. Contact your hosting provider and ask them to whitelist repairplugin.com. Also ask them to increase the PHP max execution time to at least 300 seconds.
