What are shortcodes?

Shortcodes are 'shortcuts' from installed plugins that can easily be placed anywhere on the website, such as text boxes, page builders, or other elements.

RepairPlugin works with 3 different shortcodes:

[Repair_All]
[Model_xxxxx]
[Repair_Search_Box]

Shortcode: All Steps

Repair_All is the primary shortcode of RepairPlugin. This is the full version where visitors can select their device, view repair prices, request quotes, and book appointments.

This shortcode can be found in:
RepairPlugin Pro > Settings > Shortcodes

Shortcode: Specific model

This unique shortcode is linked to a specific model. It skips the first three steps in the Plugin and directly displays all repairs for the relevant model.

For example:

  1. Choose Type: Smartphone

  2. Choose Brand: Apple

  3. Choose Model: iPhone 12

This shortcode is ideal for creating SEO pages such as 'Apple iPhone 12 Screen Repair'

This shortcode for each unique model can be found in:

RepairPlugin Pro > Models & Repairs > Click on shortcode icon

How do you place a shortcode?

Shortcodes can be placed anywhere on your website. Examples include text boxes, page builders, and virtually all elements that support WordPress shortcodes. Sometimes a theme can cause conflicts, so it's best to place the shortcode in an HTML box within page builders.

Step 1

Copy the desired shortcode using the instructions above. Don't forget to add the [Brackets] symbols at the ends:

Step 2

  1. Go to WP Dashboard > Pages.

  2. Find the page where you want this shortcode to be and click on Edit.

  3. Go to the WordPress editor and click on the plus symbol.

  4. If you're using a Page Builder like Elementor, WP Bakery, or Divi, follow Step 3.

  5. Search for shortcode and select the element.

  6. Paste or type the desired shortcode in the text box.

  7. Check the layout settings on the right side and set the page to full-width. This provides the best visual effect.

  8. For the optimal visual effect, the page should be at least 1200px wide.

  9. Click Save or Publish.

  10. The plugin is now active on your page.

Troubleshooting

If you're working with a Page Builder, you can easily place the shortcode anywhere on the page. If you encounter any issues displaying the plugin correctly, please follow these tips in your builder.

Elementor

  • Place the shortcode in a 'shortcode' module.

  • Do not place the shortcode in a text box.

  • Make sure the column and section are at least 1250px wide.

Divi

  • Do not place the shortcode in a text box.

  • Place the shortcode in a 'code' module.

  • Make sure the column and section are at least 1250px wide.

WP Bakery

  • Place the shortcode in a 'Raw HTML' module.

  • Do not place the shortcode in a text box.

  • Make sure the column and section are at least 1250px wide.
