If your automatic direct debit payment fails, it is usually due to an issue with your bank or your account, as our system automatically attempts to process payments at the end of each term. In this article, we'll discuss some common reasons for failed direct debits and the steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Possible Reasons for Failed Automatic Payment (Direct Debit):

  1. Bank Authorization Required: Some banks require you to authorize the direct debit transaction, especially for recurring payments. If this is the case, you'll need to contact your bank and approve the transaction.

  2. Insufficient Funds: If there is not enough money in your account to cover the payment, the direct debit will fail. Make sure you have enough funds in your account before the payment is due.

  3. Technical Issues: Sometimes, technical issues or temporary system outages can cause direct debits to fail. In these cases, the issue will typically resolve within 1 day, and the payment will be processed when the systems are back up and running.

What to Do Next:

  1. Contact Your Bank: Reach out to your bank to identify and resolve the issue causing the failed direct debit. Ensure that you've authorized the transaction, have sufficient funds, or have updated your account information as needed.

  2. Contact Our Support Team: Once you have resolved the issue with your bank, send a message to our support team. We will reopen your order and allow you to retry the payment or start a new order.

If you have any further questions or concerns, our support team is always here to help.
